Cystic Fibrosis

Cystic fibrosis is a disease in which the body produces thick and sticky mucus that causes the lung infection. It is the most common type of lung disease.

Causes
The main reason of this disease is a defective gene which is responsible to produce an abnormally thick and sticky mucus. As the mucus increases in our body ,the chances of lung infection is also be increased and responsible for lifetime digestion problem.
This disease may also be responsible for sweat glands and men’s reproductive system.

Signs and symptoms

The symptoms of Cystic fibrosis is vary from person to person-
1)Coughing
2) Wheezing
3) weight loss
4) fatigue
5) delayed growth
6) salty-tasting sweat
7) frequent loose stools

Treatment for Cystic fibrosis

The treatment of the cystic fibrosis depends upon the phases of this disease. The treatment of cystic fibrosis include the fallowing things-
1) Physical exercise
2) Diet therapy
3) Antibiotics
4) Surgery (sometimes necessary to correct the physical complications)
5) Vitamin supplements
6) Inhaled bronchodilators
7) DNAse enzyme replacement therapy

Prevention

Currently, preventing cystic fibrosis is not possible. Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disorder so this disease is incurable. However people can prevent themselves by this disease if they take some precautions-

1) Try to avoid smoking and also avoid secondhand smoke.
2) Always take healthy and nutritious food
3) Having regular checkups and frequent tests.
4) Try to keep immunizations current.
