Sarcoidosis is an inflammation which is caused by the presence of  Granulomas. Sarcoidosis can be found on any part of the body but mostly it is found on the lungs. It can results the stiffness of the lungs. Granulomas can be found on the walls of the bronchioles. They also may be found on the lymph node in the chest. There are two type of Sarcoidosis.

1) Skin Sarcoidosis
2) Lung Sarcoidosis

Causes of the Sarcoidosis

There are various causes of Sarcoidosis.

1) Some Bacterial infections
2) there is some abnormality in immune system of the body.
3) Toxins or chemicals are some environmental factors which causes the Sarcoidosis.
4) Some Genetic factor may be the cause of Sarcoidosis.

 
Signs and Symptoms of Sarcoidosis

Symptoms of Sarcoidosis are given below -

1) Cough
2) Shortness of breath
3) Mild chest pain

In those cases in which symptoms appear in outside the lung-

4) Red bumps on the legs
5) Fever
6) Soreness of the eyes
7) Swelling of the ankles                      

 Treatment for the sarcoidosis

There is no special treatment for the sarcoidosis, because its cause is unknown. Some medications may be effective for the treatment of sarcoidosis. Corticosteroids are the best medication for the treatment. Methotrexate, chlorambucil, azathioprine, hydroxychioroquine are some other medications for sarcoidosis.


Prevention

Because the cause of this disease is unknown so this is hard to know the proper prevention for this disease.
Avoid too much sunlight, because vitamin D sensitivity may occur with sarcoidosis. Sarcoidosis is very serious disease so you should fallow your physician’s instructions. Avoid your smoking habit, Because smoking is vary big factor of lung disease.
