A tendon is a body part that connects our bones to our muscles. In other words we can say that tendon is a end part of our muscles by which muscles connect with bone. Tendons play an important role in movement of the body. When we jumps walk and move in any way, firstly collagenic fibers arranged in a structure. The structure provides strength to muscles by giving a force for contraction and due to that muscles attached with bones. This type of structure known as Tendon.
Sometimes, there are few reasons due to that these tendons get inflamed and this condition in tendons known as Tendonitis. The common areas where tendonitis occurs are wrist, our shoulders, hips, ankle and biceps.
Causes and symptoms:
The main cause of happening tendonitis is age factor. In older age, according to age related changes tendons loses their elasticity and tendonitis may be possible. The percentage of developing symptoms of tendonitis in human increase with age.
The cause of tendonitis is exertion. Sometimes we start exercise at low state and increase the level of exercise and due to this exertion, tendonitis may be occur. Some anatomical causes for tendonitis my be possible.
Prevention & Treatment:
With proper care of affected area, we can easily decrease the pain of tendonitis. We should keep track on following thing to avoid risk of tendonitis.
- Should take frequent breaks if you are sitting for many hours.
- Should gradually increase the frequency of your daily exercise.
- Warm up and cool down before and after routine exercise.
