Osteonecrosis

Bones are living tissue those makes our whole skeleton and support to our body with living cells and a blood supply. When the blood supply in these bones become very low. Due to low blood supply bones breakdown starts and this condition is known as bone death or Osteonecrosis. Osteonecrosis may happen the hip bone, knee bone and ankle joints in adults.

Causes and symptoms:

Some times when any injury occurs in bones due to stress or accidents or infections the bones may lose their proper blood supply. Fractures are also the conditions in which the bones my break or dead. Following few examples is also there, because of that bones may loses their nutrition and osteonecrosis may occur.

    Dislocations
    Caisson Disease or Deep Sea Divers)

Should avoid Alcohol & Smoking
Lipid Disturbances

Treatment:

In case of bone diseases prevention are better than cure for them. In case of bone damaging bone grafting is applied by surgeons. If the hip joint is affected or destroyed or the hip socket is affected in osteonecrosis, a total hip replacement may be necessary.
