INFORMATION ON STYES:-

Styes are a disease of eye which develops when the glands located at the edge of the eye lashes get infected. Styes are neither a serious disease nor a threat to vision. Styes generally resembles like a pimple.


CAUSES OF STYES:-

The various causes which leads to the development of Styes are:-

1. Presence of bacteria like staphylococcal bacteria.
2. Rubbing of eyes with dirty hands.



SYMPTOMS OF STYES:-

1. Swollen eye lid.
2. Pain in eyes.
3. Frequent watering.
4. Red eyes.



TREATMENT OF STYES:-

The process of treatment of Styes is generally carried out by using heat packs. Heat pack is applied on the affected area 3-4 times a day which dries the surface of Styes and helpful in getting relief from pain. Due to this process Styes gets a head, this results in rupture, drain of Styes and leads to the healing.
