PRESBYOPIA

INFORMATION ON PRESBYOPIA:-

Presbyopia may be defined as the stage when a person is reading a book keeping it at an arm length. Presbyopia is the most common problem seen between people of age group 40-60 years.

When a person suffers from Presbyopia he/she feel blurry vision of near by object.


CAUSES OF PRESBYOPIA:-

The main cause which leads to the development of Presbyopia is age. As age increases the changes in protein level of eye also changes due to which an urge of reading distance object form near increases.


SYMPTOMS OF PRESBYOPIA:-

1. Headache.
2. Eyestrain.
3. Feel fatigue.
4. Reading book from an arm’s length.


TREATMENT OF PRESBYOPIA:-

For treatment of Presbyopia it is been suggested to wear bi focal glasses of accurate power.

Surgical option is also available in which radio waves are inserted in eyes as a result of which curvature of eyes increases.
