DACRYOCYSTITIS

INFORMATION ON DACRYOCYSTITIS:-
Dacryocystitis is an infection of the tear sac that develops between the inner most corner of the eyelids and the nose. Dacryocystitis usually results due to blockage of the duct which carries tears from the tear sac to the nose. Dacryocystitis can be acute or chronic.
CAUSES OF DACRYOCYSTITIS:-
The factor which leads to the development of Dacryocystitis are:-
1. Inflammation of tear duct.
2. Injury.
3. Eye infection.
4. Trauma.
SYMPTOMS OF DACRYOCYSTITIS:-
1. Excess tearing usually from one eye.
2. Pain in eye.
3. Swollen of eye.
4. Red color of eye.
TREATMENT OF DACRYOCYSTITIS:-
As the place of the disease is complicated therefore medicinal treatment is usually proffered with in take of antibiotics.

When the case becomes serious and antibiotics prove to be failure then surgery is the only option.
