INFORMATION ON CORNEAL DYSTROPHY:-

Corneal dystrophy is an disorder which is inherited in nature and can affect one or more layer of cornea. In corneal dystrophy generally both eyes are affected.
Corneal dystrophy can affect either inner most layer or outer most layer of cornea of both the eyes.
 

CAUSES OF CORNEAL DYSTROPHY:-

The causes which leads to the development of corneal dystrophy are:-
1. Viral infection.
2. Worse surgery of cataract.
3. Aging.
4. Injury to eye.

SYMPTOMS OF CORNEAL DYSTROPHY:-

1. Severe eye pain.
2. Sensitive to foreign substances.
3. Red eyes.

TREATMENT OF CORNEAL DYSTROPHY:-

With the help of medicine and antibiotics corneal dystrophy can be treated to avoid infections of the cornea. If there is permanent damage, the only way to cure is cornea transplant. This transplant would vision significantly and cure the problem.
