BLEPHARITIS

INFORMATION ON BLEPHARITIS:-
Blepharitis may be defined as the inflammation of eyelid. Due to Blepharitis a subject may feel burning or itchy feeling. Blepharitis can affect out side front of eyelid or it can affect inner part of eyelid.
CAUSES OF BLEPHARITIS:-
The various factors which leads to the development of Blepharitis are:-
1. Hereditary.
2. Bacterial infection.
3. Dandruff.
4. Poor hygienic conditions.
SYMPTOMS OF BLEPHARITIS:-
1. Itching.
2. Burning sensation.
3. Tearing.
4. Swollen eyes.
5. Foreign body sensation.
TREATMENT OF BLEPHARITIS:-

The treatment of Blepharitis depends on the severity and the type of Blepharitis a subject poses

If Blepharitis leads subject’s eyes to feel dry then doctor may prescribe ointment which act as a lubricating agent to eyes.
Blepharitis can also be cured by antibiotic, massaging eyelids or time to time soaking and cleansing of the eyes if the conditions are not intolerable.

Proper hygienic condition should be maintained around the subject.
