INFORMATION ON XERODERMA PIGMENTOSUM
Xeroderma pigmentosum is a genetic disorder or a rare skin disorder where a person is highly sensitive to sunlight of DNA repair in which the body's normal ability to fix mutations caused by ultraviolet light is disabled. This leads to multiple basaliomas and other skin malignancies at a young age. In severe cases, it is necessary to avoid sunlight.

CAUSES OF XERODERMA PIGMENTOSUM

SYMPTOMS OF XERODERMA PIGMENTOSUM
Symptoms of Xeroderma pigmentosum
1. Severe sunburn after a short sun exposure.
2. Development of many freckles at an early age.
3. Irregular dark spots on the skin.
4. Thin skin.

TREATMENT OF XERODERMA PIGMENTOSUM
There is no cure for xeroderma pigmentosum. The main goal of treatment is to protect the patient from ultraviolet exposure and thus prevent the damaging effects it can have on the skin.
