INFORMATION ON STEELE-RICHARDSON’S-OLSZEWSKI SYNDROME
Steele-Richardson’s-Olszewski syndrome is a neurological disorder which is caused by damage to nerve cells in the brain. Steele-Richardson’s-Olszewski syndrome characterized by progressive lack of coordination, stiffness of the neck, difficulty in eye movement, slow movements, cognitive dysfunction, and difficulty walking.
CAUSES OF STEELE-RICHARDSON’S-OLSZEWSKI SYNDROME
the only and most important reason for the development of Steele-Richardson’s-Olszewski syndrome is serious injury to brain with damage to myelin sheath.
SYMPTOMS OF STEELE-RICHARDSON’S-OLSZEWSKI SYNDROME
1. Loss of coordination.
2. unsteady gait.
3. Stiffness in the neck, arms and legs
4. Difficulty swallowing
5. unable to look up or down without bending the neck
6. Changes in facial expression
7. Eyes, pupils different size
8. uncontrollable eye movements.
9. Speech difficulties
10. Slow speech
11. Low voice volume
12. Personality changes, vague and mild

TREATMENT OF STEELE-RICHARDSON’S-OLSZEWSKI SYNDROME
So far there is no cure for Seele-Rchardson’s-Oszewski syndrome. The main of treatment of STEELE-RICHARDSON’S-OLSZEWSKI SYNDROME is to control developing symptoms. Medicines like Levodopa and Anticholinergic can be prescribed for temporary reduction of symptoms.
