Parry Romberg Syndrome

INFORMATION ON PARRY ROMBERG SYNDROME
Parry-Romberg syndrome may be defined as a rare disorder which is characterized by slow progressive unilateral atrophy of facial subcutaneous fat, muscle tissue, skin, cartilage, and bone. Parry Romberg syndrome typically progresses over a period of 2-10 years and then usually stabilizes.
SYMPTOMS OF PARRY ROMBERG SYNDROME
The various symptoms that are shown by subject with Romberg syndrome are:-

1. Facies abnormality
2. Headache
3. Hyperpigmentation
4. Fits
5. Enophthalmos
6. Headache
TREATMENT OF PARRY ROMBERG SYNDROME
Yet there is no cure for the parry Romberg syndrome. It does, however, stop progressing after about five years in most cases. Treatment of symptoms helps, such as pain relief for migraines and antiseizure medicines. In severe cases of facial deformity, reconstructive surgery can be done.
