Lupus

INTRODUCTION TO LUPUS:-
 
Lupus may be defined as a chronic inflammatory disease which posses capacity to  target joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, heart and lungs.

TYPES OF LUPUS:-

Basically there are four different type of lupus:-
1. Systemic lupus.
2. Erythematosus.
3. Discoid lupus erythematosus.
4. Drug-induced lupus.
CAUSES OF LUPUS:-
 
The factors which are responsible for development of lupus are:-

1. Infection.
2. Side effects of certain medicines.
3. Too much exposure to sunlight.
4. Hormonal problem.

SYMPTOMS OF LUPUS:-

1. Rashes.
2. Arthritis.
3. Kidney problem.
4. Heart problem.
5. Lung problem.
6. Hair loss.
7. Fever.
8. Depression.


DIAGNOSIS OF LUPUS:-
 
Clinically lupus can be diagnosed with:-

1. Blood test.
2. X-rays.
3. ECG.
4. Urine test.

TREATMENT OF LUPUS:-

The method of treatment of lupus is medicinal for which there are several types of medicines available. But treatment will be chosen by doctor which is based on the subject’s individual lupus symptoms and needs of subject. For subject with joint or chest pain or fever, drugs that decrease inflammation, referred to as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are often used.
