Lewy Body Dementia

INFORMATION ON LEWY BODY DEMENTIA:-
Lewy body dementia is a progressive degradation of mental abilities that disturbs functions such as memory, thought processes, and speech as well as behavior, and movements.
CAUSES OF LEWY BODY DEMENTIA:-
At present, there is no known cause of Lewy body Dementia and risk factors have not been identified.
SYMPTOMS OF LEWY BODY DEMENTIA:- 1. Loss of recent memory.
2. Inability to concentrate or pay attention.
3. Difficulty thinking, reasoning, solving problems.
4. Visual hallucination.
DIAGNOSIS OF LEWY BODY DEMENTIA:-
Clinically Lewy body dementia can be diagnosed by:-
1. CT scan.
2. MRI.
3. EEG.
4. Blood test.
5. Lumbar puncture.
6. Physiological test like Reasoning, abstract thinking, and problem solving are tested.
TREATMENT OF LEWY BODY DEMENTIA:-
There is neither cure nor treatment that stops or slows Lewy body dementia. Treatment of Lewy body dementia is aimed at relieving symptoms and delaying loss of mental abilities for as long as possible.
