2. Secondary Non-tropical Sprue
3. Malabsorption Syndromes
4. Disorder Subdivisions
CAUSES OF INTESTINAL LIPODYSTROPHY
Intestinal Lipodystrophy disease is extremely rare, and risk factors are unknown.
Intestinal Lipodystrophy disease is caused by a specific type of bacteria which causes abnormal changes on the wall of the small intestine. These changes disrupt the villi. Villi are tiny, finger-like structures that stick out from the wall of the intestine to help absorb nutrients. As a result, some nutrients are not absorbed properly and do not reach the rest of the body.
Some people with Intestinal Lipodystrophy disease may have a genetic defect that makes them more likely to develop the disease.

4. Fecal fat
5. D-xylose absorption
6. Albumin
7. RP Rice
8. WM Roufail
9. RJ Reeves
TREATMENT OF INTESTINAL LIPODYSTROPHY
Treatment is as follows:-

1. The standard treatment for Intestinal Lipodystrophy disease is a prolonged course of antibiotics

4. Relapses can occur after therapy has been completed, requiring close patient monitoring.
5. Patients who experience nutritional deficiencies caused by the malabsorption will receive treatment with appropriate dietary supplements.
