Dancing Eyes Feet Syndrome
INFORMATION ON DANCING EYES-DANCING FEET SYNDROME:-
Dancing eye-dancing feet syndrome is a rare neurological disorder that usually affects infants and young children. Dancing eye-dancing feet syndrome is characterized by the sudden onset of brief, repeated, shock-like spasms of muscles within the arms, legs, or entire body (myoclonus), an impaired ability to control voluntary movement and involuntary, rapid eye movements in both horizontal and vertical directions.
SYNOMS OF DANCING EYES-DANCING FEET SYNDROME:-
1. Myoclonic Encephalopathy, Kinsbourne Type
2. Opsoclonic Encephalopathy
3. Kinsbourne Syndrome
4. Dancing Eyes-Dancing Feet
CAUSES OF DANCING EYES-DANCING FEET SYNDROME:-
The factors which leads to the development of dancing eyes-dancing feet syndrome are:-
1. Viral infection.
2. Tumor in skull.
3. Hydrocephalus.
4. Cerebrospinal fluid.
SYMPTOMS OF DANCING EYES-DANCING FEET SYNDROME:-
1. opsoclonus:
2. myoclonus
3. ataxia
4. intention tremor
5. dysphasia
6. dysarthria
7. mutism
8. hypotonia
9. lethargy
10. irritability or malaise
11. drooling
12. strabismus
13. vomiting
14. sleep disturbances
DIAGNOSIS OF DANCING EYES-DANCING FEET SYNDROME:-
Currently there are no clinically established laboratory investigations available to diagnose dancing eyes-dancing feet syndrome.
TREATMENT OF DANCING EYES-DANCING FEET SYNDROME:-
Treatment for dancing eyes and dancing feet syndrome may include corticosteroids adrenocorticotropic hormone. In cases where there is a tumor present, treatment such as chemotherapy, surgery, or radiation may be required.
