INFORMATION ON AGENESIS OF THE CORPUS CALLOSUM
Agenesis of the corpus callosum (ACC) may be defined as the rare birth defect in which the structure which connects the two hemispheres of the brain (the corpus callosum) is partially or completely absent

The effects of the disorder can be subtle or mild to severe, depending upon associated brain abnormalities.
CAUSES OF AGENESIS OF THE CORPUS CALLOSUM
The factors which are responsible for the development of agenesis of the corpus callosum are:-

1. Chromosome errors.
2. Inherited genetic factors.
3. Injuries.
4. Exposure to toxic.
5. Metabolic disorder.
SYMPTOMS OF AGENESIS OF THE CORPUS CALLOSUM
1. Vision impartment.
2. Low muscles tone.
3. Low perception of pain.
4. Abnormal head/face feature.
5. Hearing impartment.
DIAGNOSIS OF AGENESIS OF THE CORPUS CALLOSUM
Agenesis of the corpus callosum can be diagnosed by following clinical procedures:-

1. MRI.
2. CT scan.
3. Ultrasound.
TREATMENT OF AGENESIS OF THE CORPUS CALLOSUM
There are currently no specific medical treatments for Agenesis of the corpus callosum, but individuals with Agenesis of the corpus callosum and other callosal disorders may benefit from a range of developmental therapies, educational support, and services.
