INFORMATION ON ADIE’S PUPIL
Adie’s pupil is a neurological disorder affecting the pupil of the eye and the autonomic nervous system. Adie’s pupil is characterized by one eye with a pupil that is larger than normal and reacts slowly in bright light. Adie’s pupil condition is associated with injury to the postganglionic parasympathetic innervations to the pupil.

CAUSES OF ADIE’S PUPIL
The factors which leads to the development of Adie’s pupil are:-
1. Viral attack.
2. Auto immune.
3. Injury.
SYMPTOMS OF ADIE’S PUPIL
1. Abnormal pupil size.
2. Loss of deep tendon reflexes.
3. Excessive sweating.
4. Migraine.
5. Diabetes.
6. Alcoholism.
DIAGNOSIS OF ADIE’S PUPIL
The diagnosis of Adie’s pupil was made on the basis of the symptoms that a subject shows. No clinical examination is necessary to diagnosis Adie’s pupil.
TREATMENT OF ADIE’S PUPIL
For the treatment of Adie’s pupil doctors may prescribe reading glasses to compensate for impaired vision in the affected eye, and pilocarpine drops to be applied 3 times daily to constrict the dilated pupil. Thoracic sympathectomy, which severs the involved sympathetic nerve, is the definitive treatment for excessive sweating
