Over Weight

INFORMATION ON OVER WEIGHT
Over-weight is also defined as (BMI) body mass index over 30 kg/m2.The BMI of the patient between 25 and 29.9 are believed to be over-weight. Maximum people are suffering from the disease of Over-weight. Generally the adult male is believed obese if 20% or more over the maximum desirable for his height and an adult female is believed obese at 25% or more than this maximum weight. The person more than 100 pounds over-weight is believed morbidly obese.

CAUSES OF OVER WEIGHT
The person who consumes more food than the body can use or taking excess alcohol or going-through inactive lifestyle.
 

SYMPTOMS OF OVER WEIGHT

In last 20 years the rate of obesity is increasing, the statistic is that the percentages of children and adolescents who are over-weight have doubled.
The required calories per day for men is 2,500 and for women is 2,000 but the person who is very active or professional athletes or manual laborers may need 4,000 or more calories. Protein or Carbohydrates cannot be stored, so surplus carbohydrate or protein
eating is converted to fat for storage. Danger of death increases due to obesity or certain death is due to hypertension, kidney and gallbladder disorder, diabetes, stroke. Obesity can create high risk of cancer and chances for development of osteoarthritis. Sometimes genetic factors are also responsible for obesity.

TREATMENT OF OVER WEIGHT

The person should avoid taking excess alcohol or stress or depression or frustration and should perform aerobic exercise for at least half an hour daily and physical activity in general by walking rather than driving and should reduce high calorie food.
