Streptococcal Infections
INFORMATION ON STREPTOCOCCAL INFECTIONS:-
Streptococcal infections are one of the types of communicable diseases which develop when bacteria invades parts of the body and contaminate blood or tissue. These bacteria normally found on the skin or in the intestines, mouth, nose, reproductive tract, or urinary tract.
CAUSES OF STREPTOCOCCAL INFECTIONS:-
Streptococcal infection results when a bacterium infects cuts or open sores or otherwise penetrate the body's natural defenses.
SYMPTOMS OF STREPTOCCAL INFECTION:-
Symptoms that are linked with Streptococcal infection include:-
1. Anemia.
2. Elevated white blood cell counts.
3. Inflammation of the epiglottis.
4. Heart murmur.
5. High blood pressure.
6. Infection of the heart muscle.
7. Inflammation of kidney.
8. Swelling of the face and ankles.
DIAGNOSIS OF STREPTOCCAL INFECTION:-
Confirmation of Streptococcal infection can be done by rubbing the back of the throat or the rectum with a piece of sterilizes cotton. Microscopic examination of the smear can identify which type of bacteria has been collected.
TREATMENT OF STREPTOCCAL INFECTION:-
Conventional medicine is very successful in treating Streptococcal infections. However, several alternative therapies, including homeopathy and botanical medicine, may help relieve symptoms or support the person with a Streptococcal infection.
Penicillin and other antibiotics are used to treat strep infections.
