INFORMATION ON CATARRH:-

Catarrh is an inflammation or infection of mucus membrane. Catarrh mostly occurs in nose and throat of human body.

CAUSES OF CATARRH:-

Catarrh mostly develops after a cold or flu .Common causes of Catarrh are given below –

1) Common cold
2) Hey fever
3) Rhinitis
4) Sinusitis
5) Due to allergy

SYMPTOMS OF CATARRH:-

Symptoms of catarrh includes a runny nose that begins with clear mucus but later on become green or yellow,
a blocked nose , a itching in the back of throat , sore throat , feel headache, cough , watering eyes .
These are some symptoms of catarrh. If you don’t take proper care then it can results sinusitis problem.

TREATMENT OF CATARRH:-

Catarrh is not a serious problem but it can lead to other infections of the sinuses or middle ear. A decongestant is the main rug treatment of catarrh. This treatment can reduce the swelling within the nose. This drug can be taken as a tablet or in the liquid form, but this is effective for the short term relief from the nose congestion. If you have high blood pressure problem then you should discussed with your doctor before any use of decongestant.

Another treatment method is steam method .In this method, you take a bowl with hot water and adds some menthol crystals. After that put a towel over your head and bend over the bowl, inhaling the steam. This method is very effective.
