Diverticulitis may be defined as the condition when pouches located in colon get infected or inflamated. It is also known as diverticular disease.


CAUSE OF DIVERTICULITIS:-

The various causes that leads to the disease called Diverticulitis are:-

2. Excess pressure on colon due to prolonged constipation.
3. Infection in Diverticulitis.


SYMPTOMS OF DIVERTICULITIS:-

2. Operational treatment.

MEDICINAL TREATMENT OF DIVERTICULITIS:-

Diverticulitis can be treated medicinally by prescribing antibiotics in order to kill the infection of the colon and protect it from inflammation.
To get complete relief from Diverticulitis doctors may also suggest taking complete bed rest with liquid diet in order to rest colon.
But this method is only suitable when diagnosis is made at the very early state of the disease.

OPERATIONAL TREATMENT OF DIVERTICULITIS:-

When the case of Diverticulitis gets out of the reach of medicines then doctor will suggest the subject to under go a surgery called colon resection in order to remove infected part of colon. This surgery help to stop redevelopment of infection.
