Appendicitis
INFORMATION ON APPENDICITIS:-
Appendicitis is basically inflammation (way in which body react to infection) developed under appendix. It is developed due the blockage of the opening of the appendix to cecum gets blocked. This blockage arises in the opening due to the development of thick muscles in the appendix or to the stool which enters the appendix from cecum. The bacteria which generally found in appendix begins to infect the wall of appendix. The body responds to this invasion by mounting the attack of bacteria and develops inflammation.
CAUSE OF APPENDICITIS:-
There is no particular cause of appendicitis but it can be due to result of obstruction of food waste or harden piece of stool become trapped in the orifice of the cavity that runs the length of appendix.
This can also be result of flow of infection or some other type of inflammations.
SYMPTOMS OF APPENDICITIS:-
1. abdominal pain.
2. loss of appetite.
3. nausea.
4. vomiting.
5. constipation.
6. diarrhea.
7. inability to pass the gas.
8. low fever.
9. abdominal pain.
DIAGNOSIS OF APPENDICITIS:-
Diagnosis of appenditics starts with the physical examination of the subject comes in the contact with concern doctor with above symptoms. The physical examination follows with the pressing of abdomen by doctor and if sudden release of abdomen with intolerable pain can be judge as appendicitis.
Appendicitis can also be diagnosed by observing patient temperature. Generally temperature is elevated with tenderness in abdomen.
Clinically it can be examined by X- ray of abdomen, ultrasound, CT scan.
PREVENTION OF APPENDICITIS:-
There are two methods for treating appendicitis:
1. Medicinal treatment.
2. Operational treatment.
MEDICINAL TREATMENT OF APPENDICITIS:-
The medicinal treatment of appendicitis is generally carried by consumption of Antibiotic by subject. This procedure is only applicable if a doctor observes non-surgical symptoms. If abscess occur then surgical process is last option.
OPERATIONAL TREATMENT OF APPENDICITIS:-
Acute appendicitis is usually treated by surgical process to remove the appendix. The operation may carried out through a standard small incision in the right lower part of the abdomen, or it may be performed using a laparoscope, which usually require three to four smaller incisions. Laparoscopy is carried out in order to judge any other symptoms including appendicitis. The appendix is almost always removed, even if it is found to be normal. With complete removal, any later episodes of pain will not be attributed to appendicitis.
