Rosacea

DEFINITION
It is a chronic skin state which involves irritation on the cheeks, nose, chin, eyelids or forehead. Redness appears on skin, swelling, or skin eruption same as acne.

SYMPTOMS

The entire face is covered by redness in distinct area. The sensation on the face is like burning or stinging. Irritation, bloodshot and watery eyes. A tendency to blush or flush without problems. The nose becomes round.

CAUSES

The cause of Rosacea disease is unknown, There are more changes to develop this harmless skin disorder if

• Your skin is fair.
• You are a woman because men are harshly affected.
• Your age is between 30 and 50.
• Your face will become red.
It involves magnification of the vessels just beneath the skin and may be connected with other skin and eye problems.

TREATMENT

The cure for Rosacea disorder is unknown .The main aim is to deduct and avoid possible causes, and thus minimize breakout. As the cure is unknown so we should go for the precautions :

* Sun exposure should be avoided.
* Avoid long drawn out in the sun.
* Try to diminish stress. Do exercise like yoga.
* Avoid spicy food stuffs, alcohol and hot drinks.

Causes vary from person to person ,In severe cases, sometimes Laser surgery can help to decrease the redness.
