Toothache may be defined as the pain of teeth which usually intolerable and continues in nature.


CAUSES OF TOOTHACHE:-

One can suffer from toothache due to:-

1. Tooth decay.
2. Abscessed tooth.
3. Damaged filling.
4. Infection of gums.


SYMPTOMS OF TOOTHACHE:-

1. Pain in teeth.
2. Headache.
3. Foul tasting.
4. Drainage from infected blood.



TREATMENT OF TOOTHACHE:-

Generally treatment of toothache depends on the causes. If a cavity is causing the toothache, your dentist will fill the cavity or possibly pull out the tooth, if necessary. A root canal can be performed if the cause of the toothache is determined to be an infection of the tooth's nerve. Bacteria that have worked their way into the inner aspects of the tooth cause such an infection. An antibiotic may be prescribed if there is fever or swelling of the jaw.
