INFORMATION ON THRUSH:-

Thrush may be defined as an infection of the mouth which is result of candida fungus, also known as yeast.
Thrush can affect anyone, though it occurs most often in babies and toddlers, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems.


CAUSES OF THRUSH:-

The events which supports thrush to develop are:-

1. Medicines such as corticosteroids, antibiotics, and birth control pills.
2. uncontrolled diabetes.
3. HIV infection.
4. Cancer.
5. Dry mouth.
6. Pregnancy.
7. smoking.
8. Dentures.


SYMPTOMS OF THRUSH:-

1. Pain or difficulty swallowing.
2. A feeling that food gets stuck in the throat or mid-chest area.
3. Fever.

DIAGNOSIS OF THRUSH:-
Clinically thrush can be identify by using following test:-
1. Endoscopy.
2. X-ray of esophagus.

TREATMENT OF THRUSH:-

Treatment of thrush can be carried out by doctors by prescribing antifungal medicines, which are generally taken for 10 to 14 days.
