INFORMATION ON ABSCESSED TOOTH:-
Abscessed tooth may be defined as the pain full infection developed at the root of teeth or it can be between tooth and gums. The main reason for the development of Abscessed tooth can be severe tooth decay.
CAUSES OF ABSCESSED TOOTH DECAY:-
The main common cause of abscessed tooth decay is:-
1. Trauma tooth.
2. Chipped tooth.
3. Gum diseases.
4. Opening in tooth enamel.
SYMPTOMS OF ABSCESSED TOOTH DECAY:-
1. Intolerable toothache which is continuous.
2. Pain while chewing.
3. Increase in sensitivity to hot and cold food stuffs.
4. Foul smell in breath.
5. Bitter taste in mouth.
6. Swelling on upper or lower jaw.
7. Ill feeling.
DIAGNOSIS OF ABSCESSED TOOTH:-
For the confirmation of abscessed tooth doctor may physically exam the tooth by asking you to close the jaw tightly, doctor may ask you for feeling pain while holding tooth with dentist's probe. In addition to all the above process, doctor may also perform x-ray for checking erosion of bone around abscesses.
TREATMENT OF ABSCESSED TOOTH:-
The main aim for the treatment of abscessed tooth is to cure the teeth from decay and relief from severe and continuous pain.
Doctor may perform “root canal” in order to drain abscesses form the gum. Root canal can also be employed for removal of dead roots. Incision to the infected gum can also be employed for removal of abscess. Doctor may also prescribe antibiotics in order to prevent redevelopment of infection.
