Dermabrasion

Dermabrasion is a cosmetic surgical procedure in which the surface of the skin is removed by abrasion. It is used to remove sun-damaged skin ,scars and dark spots on the skin. A surgical instrument is used to remove the affected skin layers in dermabrasion

The rough edges of surface irregularities are soften after the treatment giving the skin a smoother appearance.Dermabrasion can be performed both on small areas of skin or on the entire face.

Procedure

During the surgery the surgeon uses a hand-held tool affixed with a rough, rotating head to sand down the areas where the skin appears damaged or scarred. After the procedure is over, the skin looks like a red brush burn or shallow wound and is tender. The wound takes a few weeks to heal
