Side Effects of Blepharoplasty include swelling, bruising; itching, and watering of eyes. Some patients may have difficulty in closing their eyes when they sleep. Applying a cold compress, can help to reduce the swelling and bruising. Eyelid surgery may have a risk of infection, bleeding, or reaction to anesthesia
The person suffering form diabetes, cardiovascular disease, thyroid problems, such as hypothyroidism or Grave's Disease , high blood pressure and glaucoma should not go for blepharoplasty.
