INFORMATION ON LEARNING DISABILITIES
Learning disabilities may be defined as the disorders that affect the ability of a child to understand or use spoken or written language, do mathematical calculations and coordinate movements. Learning disabilities are present in at least 10 percent of the population

CAUSES OF LEARNING DISABILITIES
The main factors which are responsible for learning disabilities are:-
1. Toxins in the child's environment.
2. Use of alcohol in large quantity.
3. Use of tobacco or drugs.
4. Complication during pregnancy.
5. Genetic factor.
6. Error in development of brain.
7. Injury to brain.

SYMPTOMS OF LEARNING DISABILITIES

DIAGNOSIS OF LEARNING DISABILITIES
It is not possible to catch the symptoms of learning disabilities in children clinically, but one way to diagnose the symptoms of learning disabilities is by closely watching child’s daily task that he/she performs in school or at home.
TREATMENT OF LEARNING DISABILITIES
The most common treatment for learning disabilities in a child is special education. Specially trained educators may perform a diagnostic educational evaluation assessing the child's academic and intellectual potential and level of academic performance. Once the evaluation is complete, the basic approach is to teach learning skills by building up the child's abilities and the strength to learn. Other professionals like speech and language therapists can also proved to be beneficial. Medications may be effective in helping the child learn by enhancing attention and concentration.
