Coronary Artery Disease

Coronary Arteries or heart arteries are the blood vessels that supply nutrition rich and oxygen-rich blood from our heart to all parts of body. So, Coronary Arteries should be clean and smooth. Sometimes coronary arteries get very narrow and hard and such condition is referred to as Coronary Artery disease.

Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) is one of the common heart disease in which coronary arteries becomes narrower because of deposition of atherosclerosis on inner walls of Arteries. Atherosclerosis can be any proteinaceous element or fats or cholesterol etc and in this condition these arteries are unable to supply enough blood to heart and oxygen-rich blood from heart to other organs. Chest pains, Shortness of breath, Physical inactivity are some common results of coronary artery disease and heart attack may be possible in case of full coronary artery blockage.

Treatment for Coronary Heart Disease can be easy or very typical job. By changing our life style we can control Coronary Heart Disease in better ways. As we know that the high cholesterol level is the main reason for this atherosclerosis deposition. So, we should change our diet chart, always eat healthy food, avoid food full of fats and fast foods etc. Daily exercise also helps to cure this disease and to get stronger blood circulatory system.

When situation becomes complex then we have last option that is Coronary artery bypass Surgery. In one type of surgery, to manage the coronary artery disease, surgeons consider coronary artery bypass grafting. By this surgery, surgeons place another short piece of blood vessel around blocked coronary artery so those blood flow through new blood artery in place of old one. Now a day, laser beam surgery also in use but it is used when standard treatments have no effects.
